She released her debut single, Here in 2015, when she was just aged 19. It received lots of acclaim and was well received from critics as well as listeners. It reached number 19 on both the Canadian Hot 100 and Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named the song one of the Top Songs in 2015. The singer released her debut Know It All album in the same year. The third track, Scars to Your Beautiful was among five tracks which reached the top of the charts on Billboard which included Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as Billboard Hot 100. In her Rap-Up Interview, many listeners spoke about Cara's journey to self-love and her doubts. Cara's songs often include positive message about mental health and the importance of being self-love. Every song Cara sings comes directly from her struggles with depression, insomnia and other issues. According to a Reuters' interview, she's described her album as half-tumultuous and half-perfected. Her growth was aided through therapy. She encourages others, if needed, to ask for assistance. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto in Canada. She was born July 11th, 1996 to parents of Italian heritage. Her parents gave her an instrument when she was 10 years old, which brought her to music. She began to cover her favourite songs at age thirteen to show the world she had the skills and the courage necessary to be an artist. In fact, one of her cover tracks Sweater Weather was the song that made her the focus of EP Entertainment. They allowed her to compose and record her own music.
